By the time you read this, I will be in Mexico enjoying a few days off on vacation. I hope you all take the time to have a restful weekend – September promises to be an extraordinarily busy month.
We had our first governance council meetings this week – Tim Gorry (KCFV) chairs FVIAC and Mark Manteuffel (Biology) chairs FVAC. Make sure to get to know your governance council chairs and and members – passing your questions and concerns along to them helps us stay on top of campus issues.
In last week’s blog, I mentioned a meeting with Dr. Tiffany Anderson, the new superintendent of Jennings School District. We had a great meeting, exploring a variety of ways we can work together. Watch this space for news about partnering with the school district to help seniors prepare for secondary education and utilizing our Gateway to College program.
Let’s support the Archers! As you know, Florissant Valley is home to volleyball and men’s soccer. The soccer team recently celebrated a win, beating Lewis and Clark 4-2. Click here for game schedule information.
